Once the animal has been chipped, the owner receives from the vet a silicon band, which should be placed on the dog's collar. On the band one can read the website address of SAFE-ANIMAL International Database, HOTLINE number and information that the animal has been chipped. The band is a vital tool in the first stage of identifying a lost animal.
